Object Theory starts up in Portland – VIDEO
PORTLAND, Ore. — Object Theory, an augmented reality software development company, has begun operations in Portland. The startup will focus on developing custom applications for enterprise clients for use with Microsoft’s HoloLens augmented reality platform.
Microsoft HoloLens – Transform your world with holograms
Object Theory is a partnership of Walmart Labs mobile developer Raven Zachary and Microsoft alum Michael Hoffman, who led that company’s HoloLens development team. The HoloLens technology overlays a holographic image on the real world using a device comparable to a pair of glasses. The images are overlaid on the lenses of the glasses in the wearer’s line of sight, allowing the viewer to interact with the virtual environment while still seeing the real world.
