Willamette Valley Cancer Institute expanding in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. — The Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is expanding its operations in Eugene. The facility is investing $4.3 million in the expansion, which will allow it to offer more services to more patients while enhancing its ability to compete for cancer treatment research trials.
Willamette Valley officials cited a growing patient base and the desire for better collaboration between doctor’s care and services as the driving force behind the expansion. The expansion project, which will include renovation of about half the existing facility and the erection of a new, two-story, 8,000-sqaure-foot addition, will allow for expanded lab, pharmacy and radiation and chemotherapy areas.
